"Take Flight or Free Fall"
- fell in love with music at an early age. Spending hours listening to her older brother spin records on his turntables and her mother bumpin on saturday mornings to WILD 1090 AM. She identified with the 'soul' of music, its resonances intertwining themselves with her own soul, transplanting her physically to a different place and time and emotionally linking her to the pain and joy of the artists.
Around 5th grade her talent manifested itself and was developed while freestyling with her brother playing video games. Though at that age she hid her gift from most. Operating under the radar for years, Budge finally shared her talent with her cousin, who then leaked word to another family member, who would invite her to the studio for the first time.
"Yup. Go. Roxbury BeanTown."
Budge recorded "Im Focused" over the Aaliyah instrumental "Try Again" and blew away her older cousin, D. Watson aka Oph Kiltah with her maniacal flo and gritty swagg. From then it was on...honing her skills while battling neighborhood rappers, including lyricist and producer Spit Jones and putting in studio work with producer Oph Kiltah as part of the DeskBangahz, Budge graduated to who she is now, a lyrical phenom and undeniable verbal beast.
When asked how to describe her flo, Budge simply states, "it's Ugly!!!" - so be on the lookout for the street album, Sup@Ugly coming soon.
